SYA Artist-in-Residence Shawna Murphy is a mom, writer, longtime childcare worker, fashionista, and fearless advocate. Shawna worked with SYA to create Maybe a Baby, a beautiful, ground-breaking book for young children about pregnancy outcomes, including abortion. In her research for this book, Shawna interviewed an array of different parents and spoke with them about parenting and childbirth experiences and talking with kids about bodies and abortion.
