Young and Unprepared

I had been dating my boyfriend for 2 months when I got pregnant. At the end of July I missed my period and knew immediately I was pregnant. I live in PA and decided to travel to New Jersey to get my abortion. I was late to my appointment by 5 minutes and they told me there was nothing they could do. I was 8 weeks along and knew I had to schedule as soon as possible to be able to have a medical abortion at my friends house. I sat in my best friend’s car while we called different Planned Parenthood numbers until an angel answered the phone and was able to find me an appointment the next day. The Planned Parenthood location I went to was absolutely wonderful and they fully empowered me with my decision. Afterward, I danced around my best friend’s apartment having a feeling of relief and freedom I had never felt before in my life. I don’t regret it at all, it was a difficult decision but it was necessary.
