You Were By My Side

Dear Friend. I just wanted to say thank you for coming to my abortion with me all those years ago. It meant the world to me that someone understood why I had to go, why I wasn’t ready to try and be a mother. You were perfect in every way that day. And in a sense an abortion helped pave the way for learning just how hard the motherhood journey is, and how strong you have to be. I’m a better, happier mother of two today for having had that choice. And the family I have now, with the partner I had back then, couldn’t be more what we wanted, when we wanted. 🥰
