I see that argument all of the time—what if your mother chose to abort? The people that say this seem to think it is the ultimate “gotcha!”
But my Mom did have an abortion…years before I was born. She was young and pregnant and she didn’t want to be, and she was lucky enough to have access to safe, legal abortion care.
I ONLY exist because my Mom was able to have an abortion. I owe my entire life to my Mom having bodily autonomy.
