Ugly truth

I’ve only seen messages on here from people who are able to say that they are happy, proud, empowered etc to have had their abortion. So I just wanted to add my voice and say I still carry pain, guilt, and shame for what I did. I’m sorry that negativity isn’t an immediately useful political tool. I’m sorry it’s discomforting for some, or that it doesn’t fit into messages, campaigns, or slogans. But I want people to know that some of us do feel grief and regret, even as we carry on in our lives. While I carry that burden and truth, I still would have and will rage against anyone forcefully taking that decision from us. Without choice, we’re as good as animals.
