My choice to have an abortion opened my eyes to the sexual abuse I was receiving in a relationship. 10 years later and I still have only a handful of people who know about it, for fear of rejection. I tried to tell one family member, but instead of supporting my decision to have an abortion they have remained friends with my abuser. I feel relief knowing that I made the best decision for myself, even if no one knows.
