I always knew I wouldn’t have kids. I remember being in the car with my mom back in high school, her captive audience. She asked what I would do if I were to get pregnant. I answered without hesitation, “I would seek an abortion.” I know the answer is still the same today, more than a decade later. With politics going the way they are right now, there are some terrifying restrictions looming over women’s healthcare. I chose (and was lucky enough to find a doctor that would help) to get sterilized before I’ve had any children. I am fortunate to have this choice, and stand with any woman fortunate enough to make her own choice about her body and her future. I will fight for every woman to have this right to decide for herself.
