Having an abortion saved my life. I was in a relationship with a very unsafe man. I knew that having his child would mean he would be in my life forever. I have an amazing family who would have supported me no matter what, but I knew the danger that I would be putting myself and my child in. I had the abortion and left him a few months later.
It was the best decision I made.
It gave me the opportunity to be me again. I moved overseas. I now work with kids in foster care. Sometimes I wonder how my life could have been, but I am so glad that I was strong enough to make the decision.
