Abortion gave me the perfect family I always wanted.

I was 19, in college and in no way shape or form ready to be a mom. My boyfriend was supportive, but I was lucky enough to go home and tell my parents about my pregnancy and choice to get an abortion. They stood by me the whole time. They took me to the clinic, I felt so fortunate to have them there, so many women were all alone. The procedure itself was uneventful, I was back in school 2 days later, feeling fine. I went on to get a great job, marry a wonderful man and we have 4 amazing kids (including a surprise set of twins!). I am so thankful abortion is safe and legal. More women need to be honest about their experience. Abortion gave me the perfect family I always wanted.
