Plan A was to get pregnant when I was ready but when he sneakily didn’t use a condom, I resorted to Plan B (the ‘morning after pill’). Unfortunately, Plan B  didn’t work so I came up with a new plan- abortion! I never questioned if I was making the right decision – I knew I wasn’t ready to be a mom yet – but at the time abortion felt like a scary, lonely word, mostly because I’d not heard of anyone in my life having one. I’m happy to shout it out now! I feel lucky it was relatively easy to access one, and now I know abortions happen, and are needed, by so many people. Years later, I decided I was ready to be a mom and now I have two kids who are my world. My life would have been very different if I didn’t have my abortion and I’m so grateful for it.
