I know my decision was the most selfless choice I could have made for my baby and I will 100% always stand by it!
In 2020 I found out I was pregnant with baby number three.
At my 20 week anatomy scan, they found that my baby had a fatal diagnosis called Bilateral Multicystic Dysplastic Kidneys. My doctors told me I had two options: carry to term where my baby would most likely die during delivery and risk putting myself in danger of infection, or terminate my pregnancy.
In KY, abortion was illegal after 22 weeks so I had three days to make a decision. But I knew terminating was the right choice for me and my family. I was sent to a clinic in downtown Louisville with protesters out front. I had to pay out of pocket since insurance did not cover it! I know my decision was the most selfless choice I could have made for my baby and I will 100% always stand by it!
