I’m 24 and just secured a lease after needing to move back into my parents house during the pandemic. My life is just starting and I found out I’m six weeks pregnant. I’m in no place mentally, emotionally, physically, or financially to have a child so I decided to get an abortion.

I knew it was the right call when I realized I was already resentful of the child for existing and “ruining” the plans I have for my future. There was never any excitement; just fear and anger. I’m very glad abortion was an option for me. No child deserves a parent that resents them. Maybe when I’m more settled, I’ll consider trying again but I’m glad I made my decision.
