I wasn’t ready, but now I am

In 2018 and 2019 I have abortions. I’ve had 2 total. I already had 1 daughter and I was 18 years old. My family had a case open with DHS and it was not the right time to have another baby. So in November of 2018 I had my first abortion. And in December of that year our daughter was taken out of our custody and put into foster care. And the next month in January I had another abortion. I was so scared and not in any way prepared for it. But my doctors made sure I knew that it was a perfectly normal thing and that I was in a safe space. My family knew after the fact and was nothing but supportive. I just had a healthy baby girl in January and have my daughter back in my custody and I honestly feel like it was because I was able to access the care I needed and was able to focus solely on my daughter and not on a pregnancy that we weren’t ready for. I am happy to shout my abortion(s).
