I had 4. Accidents, abusive relationships and last with a guy who didn’t want a baby and life as single mum with him in my life would have been too much for me. In the country I was born in there is a complete ban on abortions. At school we were shown images of aborted babies as a way of scaring us. The Catholic Church is very much against abortion. Where I live now I was met with respect and no judgement from the the health providers when I went to seek abortion.
I tried all kinds of contraception, some didn’t work, some made me low in mood. I feel shame sometimes and its my secret what I’ve been through but I don’t regret those decisions. I advocate and fight for women in my country to have the right to choose.
