I got an abortion at 35 for four reasons. 1. I wasn’t ready to have a baby. 2. I couldn’t afford it. 3. I wasn’t yet married to my now fiancé. 4. I was pursuing a government job with physical requirements that I wouldn’t be able to complete if pregnant.
I’m also a minority woman, a responsible financial professional with a Master’s degree. In my eyes I’m now too old to start a family and still ok with my decision to have one. I’d have another if it came to it. I like my life as it is. I stand by my decision and others that made the same decision.
