I was 19 in college freshly graduated high school I didn’t want a baby. I wasn’t forced like people love to think about young girls I simply just did not want a child. I didn’t see myself loving a child right now putting their needs before my own. I didn’t want that baby. So I got an abortion. No shame around the decision. But I’m constantly shameful of the reactions I get because someone not having a nurturing mindset from the second they find out they’re pregnant is so bizarre to individuals who will never be in our shoes.
