I found out that I was pregnant at seventeen. I was diligently taking birth controls pills and still got pregnant. My now 85 year old grandmother drove me to the closest abortion clinic and loved me through it all. I went on to finish high school, college, and have a fulfilling life that I do not believe I would have had the opportunity to have if I had been forced to have a child at seventeen. Without access to abortion I feel that I would have fallen into a cycle of poverty.
