I am not ashamed.

I was 19 and my life was falling apart when I found out I was pregnant. I never wanted children (and still don’t) so abortion was a natural decision. I have a genetic condition that would have been passed down to a child and I couldn’t stand to give another person a life of suffering. I never felt guilty and still haven’t. During my procedure doctors found a precancerous tumor and because of my abortion I received a treatment that prevented me from getting terribly sick. I have a career and a life because of my choices and I am not ashamed.
