I was horrified when I showed up at a GP who said abortion wasn’t available on demand. Then it turned out, we had to go through a ridiculous charade of me saying having a baby would seriously affect my mental health, financially, no support, and a gross partner (that bit very true!).
Fortunately, I was able to get an abortion and I remember waking up in the recovery area, jumping around celebrating my freedom!
