I'd do it again in a heart beat.
I think my abortion story was pretty easy.
I got pregnant when I was 20. I was with my new boyfriend of a few months and we were both in college, about to graduate. It was also right before my 21st birthday. I knew right away when I found out I was pregnant, I was going to have an abortion. Luckily, I was able to do the pills at home and had a good experience with it. I did not want to have kids nor do I ever want them.
I’m almost 30 now, with the same boyfriend and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made for myself and our life. I’d do it again in a heart beat. I was lucky I was able to make that decision for myself back then. I lived in Texas and now, as you may know, abortion care is banned there.
I hope every person who is stripped of those rights is able to get the help they need, the human rights they deserve.
