23 weeks

After getting pregnant with twins through IVF we found out one of our babies had massive brain issues at a 17 week anatomy scan. After seeking second opinions and tests all of our doctors told us the same thing; if we continued the pregnancy without terminating the sick baby, we had a greater chance of losing both babies. We had to make the horrible decision to end our baby’s life when I was 23 weeks pregnant in order to save his healthy brother. I gave birth to my sweet boy at 25 weeks and now have a happy, healthy 3 year old. I ended my baby’s life at 23 weeks gestation to save his brother’s life. If anyone has a problem with that, they can look at my toddler and tell me I chose wrong.
