LAWS AREN’T REAL Pennant Flag
$30
Our claim to our bodies is inherent and non-negotiable. Abortion belongs to us—not because politicians or courts allow it, in some places and some of the time—but because our bodies belong to us, no matter what. Laws can make access easier and significantly more difficult, but laws do not tell us what we can and cannot do. Case in point: in the years following the fall of Roe, abortion has been banned in huge swaths of the country, but hundreds of thousands of people living in restrictive states have managed to have an abortion anyway. We’ll never stop.
This flag is a collaboration between SYA and Bryan Funck of beloved Louisiana metal band Thou. This sweet heavy-weight black canvas pennant flag is printed on one side with white ink and has metal eyelets for easy hanging. It measures approximately 12″ w x 17″ h.
A NOTE ON THIS COLLECTION:
Living in a state where abortion is banned doesn’t mean you can’t have an abortion—but unfortunately, having an abortion in a state where abortion is banned does mean you may be criminalized for doing so. Please know what your local laws are, even if you decide to ignore them, and be mindful of the things you can do to mitigate legal risk. Please be aware that wearing items like this may increase your risk of criminalization, and use your best judgement.
