Abortion access has never been equally available to people living in poverty, and post-Roe, these inequities have only deepened. Those with money, transportation, and flexible employment are more likely to be able to find a path to abortion access, while those with fewer resources face barriers that may prove insurmountable. We won’t begin to address the systemic trappings of poverty unless we ensure bodily autonomy is not a luxury of the privileged. Economic justice requires reproductive freedom for all.
