Billboards

You Always Have Options

SYA has launched a national billboard campaign across six regions in five states with total abortion bans, beginning in Amarillo, TX. These billboards are intended to cut through the fear and misinformation spread by restrictive laws with a clear message: access to abortion is still possible.

Billboards link to YouAlwaysHaveOptions.com, which offers core information about how to obtain abortion pills, where to find clinics in neighboring states, how to connect with a local abortion fund for financial and logistical assistance, and a list of hotlines that provide medical, emotional, and legal support. We hope these billboards are a beacon of clarity for people who may feel trapped by the laws in their state, and an evergreen rallying cry for those who want to raise their voice in times of political confusion. No matter where you are, no matter what happens in the courts, you always have options.

From September 2024 through February 2025, SYA will partner on billboards with CHOICES Reproductive Health Center in Memphis, TN; Prairie Abortion Fund in North Dakota; Buckle Bunnies in San Antonio, TX; Mississippi Reproductive Freedom Fund in Mississippi; and Yellowhammer Fund in Alabama.

San Antonio, TX

SYA partnered with friends at Buckle Bunnies Fund to put up a billboard in San Antonio, Texas. Buckle Bunnies is an abortion mutual aid network in Texas, serving communities through the distribution of abortion funds and harm reduction materials. Buckle Bunnies was founded in 2020 by a small group of young queer sex workers who are passionate about abortion access for Texans. Buckle Bunnies work to provide assistance, support, and love to people who need abortions in a state with some of the harshest and cruelest restrictions in the nation.

Fargo and Mandan, ND

SYA partnered with the wonderful people at Prairie Abortion Fund (PAF) to put up billboards in two North Dakota locations! PAF serves people across North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, and beyond, offering direct-patient assistance for abortion care, birth control, and other reproductive services. Since the fall of Roe, PAF has been focused on coordinating travel and covering costs for abortion seekers who are forced to leave their home states for care. They are flexible, creative, and their community and volunteer base is inspirational. Get involved with their book club, check out their session on SYA’s Abortion Academy, and learn more about them at the link below.

Memphis, TN

SYA is thrilled to partner with the amazing folks at CHOICES Center for Reproductive Health for our Memphis campaign. When Roe fell, Tennessee banned abortion—and the folks at CHOICES got creative, moving their abortion services to a new second clinic in Carbondale, IL. Between these two clinics, CHOICES provides medication and procedural abortions, gynecological wellness care, gender-affirming hormone therapy, HIV testing and referrals, and birth control. CHOICES’ Memphis location also has a gorgeous birth center, led by Black midwives who are committed to helping folks have the birthing experiences they deserve. Learn more about this amazing org and all the work they do to provide options to folks in Tennessee at the link.

Amarillo, TX

Amarillo is home to some of the most hostile legislators and anti-choice operators in the country, but it’s also home to Amarillo Reproductive Freedom Alliance (ARFA). ARFA is a coalition of Amarillo locals, business owners, and activists who are fighting tirelessly to protect their community from initiatives like the so-called ‘Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn’ initiative. We believe that the presence of this scrappy, grassroots group is saving lives and changing the community. Thank you ARFA, we love you! Learn more about ARFA at the link below and get involved.
