I cannot have children, and have always wanted to be a mom. Regardless of this, I firmly believe that every woman has the right to choose for herself what to do with her body when she is pregnant. No qualifiers, no wishing that some would choose adoption instead. Full stop. I would even go to an abortion clinic to support a friend or family member while they were having the procedure done if they’d asked me. It wouldn’t be easy for me, but to me this is what it means to believe in a woman’s right to choose.
