For me, a non-issue

I had an abortion when in was 19. There were protesters outside picketing the clinic. They didn’t intimidate me! My partner at the time waited with me in the waiting room and drove me home. I was so lucky, my insurance made it a $5.00 co-pay! The procedure went fine, and it was over. For me, it was like going for a dental procedure. I was relieved and had no bad feelings. That was 24 years ago. I am now a mom by choice and wouldn’t change a thing! I only feel bad that so many women didn’t/don’t have a good experience like I did. Abortion can be quick and simple procedure that can remedy about whole host of struggles and expenses (i.e. parenthood.) There is NOTHING to be ashamed of.
